Ensuring accessibility for students without internet access or computing devices is our foremost concern. In the development of our app, we’ve prioritized an ‘offline-first’ approach, eliminating the necessity for a continuous internet connection.
Our product’s design and development process are significantly informed by insights gained through the EdTech Evidence for Entrepreneurs 6-week program. We work closely with educators and field experts to ensure that our product aligns with evidence-based best practices for effective teaching and learning. Our dedication to continuous improvement is firmly rooted in substantial evidence and feedback from educators and learners.
Virtual Teaching Robots, powered by AI and generative AI, employ human avatars to deliver personalized learning experiences. They dynamically adjust to learners’ preferences and learning styles, enhancing the educational process by making it engaging and enjoyable. These robots serve as guides, offering recommendations on what to study for academic success.
The Virtual Therapy Robot, powered by AI, delivers therapeutic support to educators, learners, and communities. Using voice and facial recognition, it interacts with users, providing emotional support, advice, and guidance for mental health issues.
We are well-positioned to make a substantial impact on foundational literacy and numeracy education. Our approach revolves around personalized learning experiences tailored to individual learning styles and abilities, playing a pivotal role in bridging educational gaps. We actively facilitate the development of essential skills necessary for both lifelong learning and academic success. This innovative approach will enable us to significantly contribute to the improvement of foundational literacy and numeracy.
The K-12plus app personalizes, digitizes, and streamlines education, covering both academic and administrative tasks. It gamifies pre-K-12 education and enhances the learning experience through immersive Metaverse classrooms and captivating lessons, leaving a lasting and effective impression on students.
Teachers authentically bring conceptual and STEM subjects to life, enabling students to explore complex topics in a realistic environment. This positively impacts their understanding and engagement, surpassing the limitations of traditional learning methods. The K-12plus app is designed to make education personalized, interactive, and tailored to the individual needs of students.
Our company is led by Loide Dawid, a former teacher, who holds a 70% stake, with Paulus Indongo holding the remaining 30%. Together, they contributed both capital and intellectual expertise to initiate and propel this venture, and their initial ownership percentages remain unchanged.
In 2011, Loide faced laptop troubles and was introduced to Paulus through a mutual friend. Recognized as the campus tech whiz, Paulus adeptly resolved her software and hardware issues, marking the beginning of their friendship. This connection evolved into shared brainstorming on potential business ventures. By 2016, Loide pursued a diploma in education, while Paulus delved into high-tech solutions. The urgent need to address the education crisis fueled their collaboration, leading to the birth of the K-12Plus App in 2018.
